English: European beech (Fagus sylvatica) trees at Darss Wood (Darßwald) near Born a. Darß, Landkreis Vorpommern-Rügen, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. Darss Wood belongs to the Western Pomerania Lagoon Area National Park (Nationalpark Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft).
Deutsch: Stark von verschiedenen Pilzen befallene Rotbuchen (Fagus sylvatica) im Darßwald bei Born a. Darß, Landkreis Vorpommern-Rügen, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Deutschland. Der Darßwald ist Teil des Nationalparks Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft. Dort dürfen Bäume alt werden und langsam in Würde sterben, denn auch ein schwerer, schließlich tödlicher Pilz- und/oder Insektenbefall ist Teil des Naturgeschehens, in das im Nationalpark in der Regel nicht eingegriffen wird.
