Description
English: Boreal landscape with river. Birch woodland encircles the river, together with cottongrass and willow shrubs, typical of subalpin forests in Norway. Evenes municipality, Nordland county, Norway. 220 km north of (inside) the Arctic Circle and 320 m above sea level, north boreal vegetation zone; the treeline is only at 150 m higher altitude.
Norsk bokmål: Elv i den boreale bjørkeskogen. Evenes, Nordland fylke, 320 moh. Myrull og vierkratt er typisk for fjellskogen. Juli 2009.
