The skylineof New York is a part of him; take himaway from it a week and he is lonesome.The traveler from the South and West tothe great metropolis feels a sudden self-im-portance as he steps from his train upon theferry boat at Jersey City and is confrontedby the grandeur of the sight. He quicklyseeks a point of vantage on the boat fromwhich he can breathe the refreshing sea airand take in every inch of the moving pano-rama as the boat passes in full review up to23d Street. It is a glorious excursion bywater up a beautiful river, a fitting end to arailroad journey. Behold another wonder of the world ! Manhattan Island from the water is apicture which has no parallel.
