IL Bolgiano's Wonderful New Tomato, "My Maryland" King of Them All. Has Surpassed the Best Yielding Tomato In the World More Than 100 Per CentâA Marvelous Double Yielder 77. Side by side it has produced three times the crop produced by the Stone or New Century. It has even doubled the yield of the Greater Baltimore Tomato. The vast possibilities of this New Tomato are astounding. We believed in Greater Baltimore Tomato the limit of productiveness had been reached, but "My Maryland" so far outyields any other Tomato ever grown that ita remarkable productiveness is amazing. People have driven miles to see a field of "My Maryland" Tomatoes and they all marveled at the prodigious abundance of the crops it had produced. The fields were literally covered with the finest well-shaped, perfectly formed, solid, smooth, bright red, uniform fruit, all free from roughness and cracks, much larger than any ever seen before. It» as called then and there "A Winner" and it well deserved the title. The Tomatoes are much larger and far heavier than either the Greater Baltimore or the New Cen- tury. By most careful re-selections for six years, we have thoroughly estab- lished the purity and trueness of My Maryland" Tomato, and are delighted to be the introducer of a Tomato which from start to finish is "King of them all." A real "Double Vielder" that is known as the best second early and main crop Tomato the world has ever produced. Pkt. 10c. Oz. 30c. 2 Ozs. oOc. I4 Lb. 90c. lo Lb. SI.75. Lb. S3.50. Postpaid. "My Maryland" Outgrew Doubly, Outbore and Outsold Any Other Variety On July r,, iDlS, Mr. W. 0. Rogers, of Orange Co., Fla., vrole: "In regard to your 'My Mary- land' Tomato it is undoubtedly the best practical introduction for 30 years. It has evidently been brought to its high standard by scientific se'Urtion. I find it a vigorous growth, blight-proof, earlier ripen- ing than the other varieties that are planted for early use. Without having been fertilized, they at this dote are loaded with fruit fust as large as the earlier sellings. This is on common, gray pine land. I gave some neighbors who are professional market gardeners a few plants; their voluntary statement to rue uas that they outgrew doubly, oulbore and out- sold the other varieties that they had planted. Just hold 'My Maryland' to its present standard and it will be sufficient." "My Maryland" the Preference on Account Yield. Freedom from Blight, Good Size and Quality On July W, 1916, Mr. Thomas S. Sterling, of Wilcox Co., Ala., wrote: "Bolgiano's 'My Mary- land' Seed yielded more than any other variety I have ever tried. Season was very unfavorable, too much rains, but vines are loaded uitk good sized fruit. Will get a good yield. I have planted 'My Maryland' for the past two years in preference to all others on account of yield, freedom from blight, their good size and quality." After a Thorough Test "My Maryland" Wins On June 15, 1916, Mr. B. IV'. Williams, of Sumter Co., Fla., wrote: "If you will notice I order some 'My Maryland' Tomato Seed from you every year. It is because they are the best Tomatoes I can plant. They give me the best satisfaction of any Tomatoes I have ever used. I planted some other varieties this year by the side of 'My Maryland' and oil the good Tomatoes I got leas from the 'My Alary- land.' I am not going to plant anything else from now on but 'Afy Maryland,' and you can tell every- body what I say about them if you like." Fine Crop In Bad Season On July 27.1916, Mrs. Sallie Hutlon.of Brookes Co., Texas, wrote: "We had an extrenie drought in this section the past season, but in spite of this your My Maryland' Tomato produced a fine crop." Expert Tests In Virginia On September 27, Virginia Agricultural Experi- ment Station, Blacksbnrg, Va., writes: "Bolgiano's 'My Maryland' Tomato vines showed considerable power of resistance against blight and were able to mature their fruit very nicely. The fruit was uni- form and fairly smooth. The size was medium to above medium, color orange red, flesh firm, fine grain and pink in color. Seeds few. Flavor distinctively pleasant. This variety has handsome fruit, attrac- tive size and is well adapted to table use and canning purposes. In New JerseyâMore Uniform in Shape, Size, Earlier than Stone New .Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station, New lirunsivick, TV. J., on August 27, wrote: '"My Maryland' Tomato has given plants of larger growth, healthy, well set with fruit. The fruit has ripened a little earlier than Stone and more uniform in both shape and size. The fruit has been remarkably smooth, well colored, firm. It was one of the hand- somest Tomatoes in our planting this year." Short JointedâIt Forms Large Clusters at Every JointâIn Texas Mr. J. A. Dean, of Jefferson Co., Texas, ivrites as follows: "Your New Tomato, 'My Maryland,' pioves to be a world beater. It is without a doubt one of the finest and best cropping Tomatoes to grow: it has more good qualities than any other Tomato, the plant being short jointed, and forms such large clusters of fruit at every joint, the fruit being so uniform in shape and color making it outsell any Tomato on the market." Expert Tests In Alabama Canbrake .Agricultural Experiment Station, Uniontown, Ala.; Prof. F. D. Stevens, writes: "Of the 6 varieties of Tomatoes tried here this year I am disposed to think your 'My Maryland' BEST of the lot. I base my conclusions on Vie yield, 'My Maryland' holding its own with the others. On the freedom from attack of rot (Fusarium Erubeseens), it being practically free from the disease, while varieties in rows adjoining have given way materi- ally to its ravages, especially during the last week of rainy, damp weather. On its freedom from cracking of the skin w'nen fully ripeâ^ther varieties presenting more or less trouble from this, as after the rupture is once formed in this climate moulds start quickly, spoiling its home use and local market. I thank you for calling my attention to this variety." Expert Tests In Georgia On September 2-'i, 191.5, The Georgia Experiment Station, Experiment, Ga . writes: "In our Tomato experiment tests, season 1915. we have found Bolgiano's 'My Maryland' Tomato an excellent variety." Expert Tests In South Carolina On September 2S, 1915, The Clemsen .Agricultural College at Clemsen College, S. C, writes: "In our experiment tests for the season 1915 we found Bolgiano's 'My Maryland' Tomato very productive, the fruit uniform in shape and of good size, yet not too targe."
