Summary[edit]

Description
English: Two 89-pound-thrust turbojet engines housed in larger nacelles are one of the major modifications in the "C" version of the X-48 Hybrid / Blended Wing Body research aircraft over the previous "B" version that used three 50-lb. thrust turbojets. The X-48C also has an extended rear deck area and vertical fins moved inboard from the wingtips to just outboard and to the rear of the engine exhaust ducts to improve the design's low-noise characteristics.
