A ritual ceremony

Summary[edit]

Description
English: Keal (a New Year ritual celebration) is one important ritual ceremony in the Bodi tribe.

Every year, they celebrate their new year, 'Ka`el’ between June and July, depending on the full moon, and the rains. In keal, four or five men from each village will drink only milk and blood for three to four months. Then all the men gather in a particular ritual spot to dance and be measured. The village is commended if their man is

the fattest.
