Description
One of the air shafts of the tunnel
English: The Redhill to Tonbridge Line. Taken from the bridge in Outwood Lane, Bletchingley at grid reference TQ327488 looking east. Class 377 units are heading towards Redhill. The Bletchingley Tunnel can be seen in the distance.
Unlikely though it may seem this line was part of the first rail route from London to Dover. The planners were not interested in serving the settlements en route so it takes a remarkably straight route.
