This is the blazon of the Actons of Acton Scott, which Burke incorrectly ascribed to Sir William Acton, 1st Bt. See 'A display of heraldry' p. 198 (1679) by J. Guillim, for Sir William's correct blazon (Acton of Aldenham, a crescent for difference)
