| Description |
English: Blackpool Central railway station site, Lancashire, 2000 Opened in 1863 as Hounds Hill by the Preston & Wyre Joint Railway (joint between the Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway and the London & North Western Railway), it was renamed Blackpool Central in 1878. The station was expanded to 14 platforms in 1901, but was closed in 1964. The last buildings were demolished in 1973. View north west towards the buffers. |
