Summary[edit]

Description
English: Ecdise and mimicry. Arthropods have a body covered by a rigid exoskeleton of chitin. As this bark involves the entire body and prevents the animal from growing continuously, ecdysis (or mutation) occurs: exoskeleton output allows the animal to grow, after which a new exoskeleton is secreted and stiffened. In addition, the image still shows the phenomenon of mimicry: the animal's wings mimic leaves of plants to deceive their predators
