"Value Meal" Biriyani Rice with Goat Masala and Lamb Rogan Josh - Zam Zam AUD8.70. With plain or pulao rice for AUD7.70. Bargain! The goat masala was quite spicy with a good balance of heat and spice, but could have done with a bit more braising to get the tendons a bit softer. The lamb rogan josh was warm and full of spices and very tender. In the background is a white radish ???with turmeric, garlic and mustard seeds, and of course, the biryani rice, which was good enough to eat on its own! I also had a [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teh_tarik teh tarik (not shown), which was sweet and frothy! Biryani Rice with Goat Masala and Lamb Rogan Josh Zam Zam Cafe Restaurant 364 Lonsdale St Melbourne 3000 (03) 9606 0109 Apparently Zam Zam is Singapore's most well known Muslim restaurant. The family-owned establishment has been in business since 1908. And now it is here in Melbourne! |
