Description

Locality: Demix-Varennes quarry, Saint-Amable sill, Varennes & St-Amable, Lajemmerais RCM, Montérégie, Québec, Canada
Original description: Pseudomorph of birnessite/ranciéite probably after serandite. (Thanks to Laszlo Horvath for information regarding the ranciéite.) The microcline is white. The olive green "urchins" are aegirine - very typical for STA. There are a few small colorless droplets of bright green fluorescent opal on the microcline.

Beschreibung: Pseudomorphose von Birnessit/Ranciéit vermutlich nach Serandit. Die olivgrünen "Igel" bestehen aus Aegirin (sehr typisch für diesen Fundort). Auf den weißen Mikroklinkristallen sind einige kleine, farblose Tröpfchen von kräftig grün fluoreszierendem Opal zu sehen.
