English: Billy Winspit's cottage - Winspit His real name was William Jeremiah Bower but everyone knew him as Billy Winspit. He was one of the last quarrymen and was a well-known character.Billy was also an authority on this part of the coast and his knowledge was respected by many.
This is all that can be seen of Winspit Cottage from the path down to the cliff edge as the undergrowth and trees have grown profusely. Behind the cottage East Man is visible. |
