Description
English: Sir William Smith, the founder of the Boys' Brigade might not be amused to be described as Bill Smith, and his dream as a gang, but a little poetic licence is needed in a cold January 2024.

This leaflet encouraging the members to redouble their efforts at recruitment was issued one hundred and ten years ago and this is an opportune time to see it. Organisations such as the Boys' Brigade by Sir William and the rather more famous one, the Boy Scouts, by Sir Robert Baden Powell were hugely influential in the development of young boys, and latterly young girls, and deserve to be celebrated!
