Deutsch: Ehemaliges Geschäftshaus in der Wallstraße 27, Ecke Neue Roßstraße (links), in Berlin-Mitte, heute Sitz der Botschaft von Zypern. Das Gebäude wurde 1913 von den Architekten Hoeniger & Sedelmeier errichtet. Mit seiner stattlichen Höhe und modernen Skelettbauweise ist es ein typisches Beispiel für die Geschäftsbauten der damaligen Zeit. Der bauplastische Schmuck, das Portal und das Treppenhaus sind vom Jugendstil beeinflusst. Das Gebäude ist denkmalgeschützt.
English: Former commercial building at Wallstraße 27, corner of Neue Roßstraße in Berlin-Mitte, now seat of the Embassy of Cyprus. It was built 1913 by architects Hoeniger & Sedelmeier. With its imposing height and its modern skeleton structure, it is a typical example of the commercial buildings of that time. The design of the facade ornaments, of the portal and of the stairway is influenced by Art Nouveau. The building is landmarked. |
