Deutsch: Das frühere Bürogebäude "Wiratex", Unter den Linden 62-68, Ecke Schadowstraße (rechts), in Berlin-Mitte. Das Gebäude wurde 1962-1964 nach einem Entwurf des Architekten Peter Senf errichtet. Seit März 2010 ist es als "Forum Willy Brandt Berlin" Sitz der Bundeskanzler-Willy-Brandt-Stiftung und soll Ort einer Dauerstellung über den ehemaligen Regierenden Bürgermeister von West-Berlin und deutschen Bundeskanzler werden. Das Gebäude steht als Teil des Ensembles "Dorotheenstadt" unter Denkmalschutz.
English: The former office building "Wiratex", Unter den Linden 62-68, corner of Schadowstraße (right), in Berlin-Mitte. It was constructed from 1962 to 1964 to a design by the architect Peter Senf. Under the name "Forum Willy Brandt Berlin" it became seat of the Chancellor Willy Brandt Foundation in March 2010 and will house a permament exhibition on the former governing mayor of West Berlin and West German chancellor. It is part of the historic buildings area "Dorotheenstadt". |
