Italiano: Descrizione L’impostazione all’antica richiama i severi modelli di Andrea Mantegna, ma l’impianto prospettico del busto e l’intensità dello sguardo rivolto allo spettatore documentano l’interesse per i ritratti di Antonello da Messina, attivo a Venezia intorno al 1475. Una iscrizione frammentaria sul retro («JACOBVS DE») è l’unico labile indizio per risalire all’identità del misterioso protagonista del dipinto.
