A group of clinics in DeKalb,Illinois; Madisonville, Kentucky; Toledoand Gallipolis, Ohio; Jacksonville and Lakeland, Florida; and others in Geor-gia, Oregon and North Dakota, will joinwith medical schools and hospitals acrossthe country in a Tele-Lecture grandrounds network for exchange of informa-tion and up-to-date techniques. ■ Agencies of the Federal Governmentare finding Tele-Lecture useful intheir nationwide activities. The GeneralServices Administration, for almost ayear, has been programing Tele-Lec-tures in management, information dis-semination and training in ten citiesthroughout the country. Other govern-mental agencies are using the GSAsTele-Lecture network for similar pur-poses: both NASA and the Post Officeare conducting weekly meetings via tele-phone with widely scattered points in thenation. Sears Roe-buck is using it for discussion of adver-tising among some 35 of its stores in theEast. New York brokerage houses areusing Tele-Lecture extensively on aweekly basis for sales summaries and foractually conducting sales meetings. Onehouse uses it for a daily two-way ex-change of ideas between 70 salesmen inthe field and the home office. The Pillsbury Company used Tele-Lecture for their grocery product sales-men as a kick-off for a new sales pro-gram. Formerly discussion of this andother corporate matters entailed flyingheadquarters office people out into thefield in private planes, obviously at greatexpense. Tele-Lecture gives them aquicker, simpler, more efficient and muchcheaper means of contact.
