Фирма де Вита издавала различные карты, но специализировалась на издании карт городов и атласов с картами городов. Город Ат, расположенный на территории современной провинции Эно во франкоговорящей части Бельгии, был захвачен французами в 1667 году, когда Францией правил Луи XIV. Крепости и фортификационные сооружения Français : Cette carte, montrant les fortifications entourant la ville d'Ath, est le fruit du travail de Frederik de Wit (1630-1706), fondateur d'une dynastie de trois générations d'éditeurs de cartes néerlandais, tous nommés Frederik. La société de Wit produisit de nombreux types de cartes, mais était spécialisée dans la conception des cartes et atlas de villes. Située dans l'actuelle province du Hainaut en Belgique francophone, Ath fut conquise par les Français sous Louis XIV en 1667. Les français construisirent par la suite des fortifications massives autour de la ville.
Forts et fortifications English: This map, showing the fortifications surrounding the city of Ath, is the work of Frederik de Wit (1630-1706), the founder of a dynasty of three generations of Dutch map publishers, all named Frederik. The de Wit firm produced many kinds of maps, but specialized in maps of cities and atlases of city maps. Located in present-day Hainaut province in French-speaking Belgium, Ath was conquered by the French under Louis XIV in 1667. The French later constructed massive fortifications around the city.
