Summary[edit]

Description
English: Beech plantation on the summit of St Catherine's Hill Presumably another example of the 18th Century landscape-"improving" fad for planting beech trees in prominent spots. These beech trees on the summit of St Catherine's Hill are planted in a circular clump, within the Iron Age hillfort and alongside the more modern (also 18th Century?) miz-maze.
