English: Bedd Eben Fardd Eglwys Beuno Sant Eben Fardd's Grave Ebenezer Thomas (1802-1863) http://yba.llgc.org.uk/en/s-THOM-EBE-1802.html was one of the best-known Welsh poets of his day. After moving to Clynnog he ran a school in the church, later moving to the village chapel.
Poets (beirdd) have always been, and still are respected figures in Welsh society and culture. |
