English: Glass

Bead. Polychrome bead, annular of D-section, dark blue glass with crossing wave trail in white and a wide aperture of diameter 7mm. The aperture is wider, and the manufacture more regular, than Early Anglo-Saxon beads known to this reporter, so a later date is suggested. Suggested date: Early Medieval, 800-950.

Diameter: 12.1mm, Width/Height: 6.8mm, Thickness: 2.8mm, Weight: 0.97gms.
