| Description |
English: Bays Leap Farm, Heddon on the Wall The original Bays Leap Farm was bought in 1957 by the National Coal Board for open cast mining. The Farm and nearby Heddon Mill were demolished. 70 acres of land were excavated to a maximum depth of 55 metres to extract 2.5 million tons of coal. Following restoration of the opencast site in 1966, Bays Leap Farm was rebuilt in its present location, away from the proposed line of the A69 trunk road.
