Description
Deutsch: Plakette im Adenauer-Schuman-Gedenkzeichen von Harald Stieding (* 1940) in Bassenheim, eingeweiht am 17. Juni 2012. Das Denkmal erinnert an das Treffen von Konrad Adenauer und Robert Schuman am 8. Oktober 1948 in der Burg von Bassenheim. Diese Begegnung gilt als Anfang und Grundlage der späteren deutsch-französischen Freundschaft. Die zwölf Stelen auf zwölfeckigem Grund versinnbildlichen die Gesamtheit der europäischen Länder.
