Description
English: On 4 October 2013, Swiss activists from "Generation Grundeinkommen" organised a performance in Bern where eight million valid Swiss 5-cent coins (one per inhabitant) were dumped on a the Bundesplatz, as a celebration of the successful collection of more than 125,000 signatures for their federal popular initiative, which forced the government to hold a referendum on whether or not to incorporate the concept of basic income in the Swiss Federal Constitution. In 2016, the referendum resulted in 76.9% of votes against the introduction of a basic income.
Français : Le 4 octobre 2013, des militants suisses de la "Génération Grundeinkommen" ont organisé à Berne une manifestation-spectacle où huit millions de pièces de 5 centimes du franc suisse valides (une par habitant) ont été jetées sur la Bundesplatz, pour célébrer la collecte réussie de plus de 125 000 signatures pour leur initiative populaire fédérale, qui a forcé le gouvernement à organiser un référendum sur l'opportunité ou non de de ne pas intégrer la notion de revenu de base pour tous dans la Constitution fédérale suisse. En 2016, les Référendum sur le revenu de base ont abouti à 76,9% de voix contre l'instauration d'un revenu de base.
