Summary[edit]

Description
English: Inscription on back of photo:

(L-R) Stan Wheeler- Reeve, Storekeeper and Postmaster of Cloyne
My Dad, George Henry Springer (behind with the fur hat)
Walter and Bob Cuddy from Harlowe
Leitha and Rachel Wheeler (Stan's daughters)
and between them is Bill Head (Councilman)
Unknown date of photo. From the Howard and Sharon Price Collection.
Note about Bill Head: from 'The Oxen and the Axe': Bill Head, who married the daughter of J.W. McCausland left his name to Head Road at the south end of the Mazinaw. They later inherited her family homestead and eventually it became known as the Head Place. Bill served in municipal politics and ultimately took over the job of driving the coach from Kalahari to Cloyne.
