Català: La catedral de la Santa Creu i Santa Eulàlia de Barcelona. Capella de Sant Joan Baptista i Sant Josep. Capella del gremi de fusters, que havia tingut com a patró, abans de Sant Josep de Natzaret, Sant Joan Baptista. El retaule, dedicat a Sant Joan, és anònim de l'any 1577. Hi ha una imatge de sant Josep del segle XVIII. El retaule renaixentista és de talla policromada, amb portes pintades a l'oli per Joan Mates representant els evangelistes. El moble, té quatre nivells, àtic i cinc carrers, conté les següents imatges i escenes en relleu (s'enumeren de dalt a baix i d'esquerra a dreta): Baptisme de Jesús; Anunciació a sant Zacaries del naixement de sant Joan; Naixement de sant Joan; imatge de sant Joan Baptista; Visitació de la Verge; Predicació de sant Joan; Arrest de sant Joan; Aprisionament de sant Joan; Banquet d'Herodes; Degollació de sant Joan; Oració de Jesús a l'Hort; Flagel·lació de Jesús; imatge de sant Josep amb el Nen; Coronació d'espines; Camí del Calvari;Sant Josep; Sant Joan Baptista.
English: The Cathedral of the Holy Cross and Saint Eulalia in Barcelona. Chapel of San Juan Bautista and San José. Chapel of the carpenter guild, which had been the patron saint, before Saint Joseph of Nazareth, San Juan Bautista. The altarpiece, dedicated to Saint John, is anonymous from 1577. There is an image of Saint Joseph from the 18th century. The Renaissance altarpiece is of polychrome carving, with doors painted in oil by Joan Mates representing the evangelists. The furniture, has four levels, attic and five streets, contains the following images and scenes in relief (listed from top to bottom and from left to right): Baptism of Jesus; Announcement to Saint Zacaries of the birth of Saint John; Birth of Saint John; image of Saint John the Baptist; Visitation of the Virgin; Preaching of Saint John; Arrest of Saint John; Imprisonment of Saint John; Herod Banquet; Degollation of Saint John; Prayer of Jesus in the Garden; Flagellation of Jesus; image of Saint Joseph with the Child; Coronation of thorns; Camino del Calvario; San José; San Juan Bautista.
Français : Cathédrale de la Sainte-Croix et de Sainte Eulalie à Barcelone. Chapelle de saint Jean le Baptiste et de saint Joseph : C'était la chapelle de la guilde des charpentiers; son patron était saint Jean jusqu'au dix-septième siècle, quand il a changé par saint Joseph. Le retable Renaissance dédié à saint Jean le Baptiste est anonyme, et date de l'année 1577.
