| Description |
English: Barbican wall plaque - Plymouth Presented to the people of Plymouth by 10 Sqn, Royal Australian Air Force.
In 1943 one of the Sunderland flying boats depicted on the plaque was shot down and crashed in the Bay of Biscay with the loss of all on board. Some 60 years later the ashes of the wife of one of these were scattered at the scene of the crash by her second husband who, at the age of 90, had brought them from the USA so she could be once more with her first love. RIP Aunt Elsie and Uncle Snowey. |
