Deutsch: Niedermoor Hubermoos in Barbian in Südtirol - Die erhebliche ökologische Bedeutung kommt dem Hubermoos aufgrund der Tatsache zu, dass es das einzige Feuchtgebiet auf weiter Flur ist, auch wenn es sich nur um eine sehr kleine Feuchtfläche handelt.
Die Unterschutzstellung als Naturdenkmal hat einerseits die Erhaltung dieses Naturlebensraumes zum Ziel und andererseits wird dadurch eine bessere Betreuung durch die Landesverwaltung für die Pflege- und Renaturierungsmaßnahmen ermöglicht.
Italiano: Hubermoos a Barbiano - Anche se si tratta di una zona umida molto piccola, essa ha comunque una grande importanza ecologica, in quanto si tratta dell'unico sito umido su una vasta area. Il vincolo di tutela come monumento naturale ha, da una parte, l'obiettivo di conservare questo habitat naturale e, dall'altra, di permettere una maggiore assistenza da parte dell'amministrazione provinciale nell'adozione delle misure mirate di cura e di rinaturalizzazione.
