| Description |
English: Bank on Beaulieu Hilltop Heath, New Forest. A long linear bank extends northeast for about 1 km across the heathland from Holbury Purlieu towards the Noads. The bank is in the foreground, and stands out on the bleak heath because of its slightly higher profile and different vegetation (like the gorse on the right). It is clearly artificial but I don't know its original purpose. In the distance are the stacks of Fawley oil refinery. |
