El color verde representa los valles y montañas que caracterizan el paisaje urbano y rural de nuestro municipio

El color rojo hace memoria al coraje, valentia y resistencia de nuestro pueblo, herencia de nuestro héroe de independencia Antonio Nicolás Briceño

El sol hacia el centro está relacionado con la calidez del clima valerano, pero también con las personas notables nacidas en nuestra región

Las 7 estrellas de color blanco representan las 7 colinas y además el intelecto valerano
