Español: Este es un trabaja realizado hace algunos años, por el Diseñador Gráfico Nguyen Hernández, y el escudo de este Municipio, fue realizado bajo el gobierno municipal del Lic. Ernesto Paraqueima, Lectura exacta del significado de los colores y cada linea de la bander.
Enmarcado dentro de la política de creación y consolidación de los símbolos del municipio, iniciada por el alcalde Lic. ERNESTO PARAQUEIMA LUIGGI, comisionó al Sr. GUSTAVO PERDOMO cronista del municipio Simón Rodríguez, para el estudio y presentación de una propuesta para la creación de la Bandera y Escudo del Municipio, las cuales presentó el día 06 de febrero de 2008.
COLORES: Azul Marino, Blanco y Amarillo Oro
Los rectángulos de color BLANCO simbolizan el espíritu servicial, la igualdad y valor de los individuos sin distingo alguno de ninguna índole, que ha caracterizado por siempre a los habitantes de este hermoso municipio. Rectángulo AMARILLO ORO justificado a la izquierda de la bandera viene a representar la riqueza y prosperidad intelectual de las personas del municipio que han dejado un legado en las artes, literatura, música, canto, deporte, artes militares, teatro, actuación y las ciencias y tecnología. PRESENTO TAMBIÉN EL ESCRITO EXACTO DEL ESCUDO: El Escudo del Municipio Simón Rodríguez fue dividido en dos campos horizontales los cuales se describen a continuación: El Campo Superior, de fondo color blanco, lleva doce (12) reflejos de color amarillo oro que simbolizan los rayos del sol saliendo de un círculo dorado donde se encuentra la imagen del insigne maestro de nuestro Libertador Simón Bolívar, Don Simón Rodríguez, hombre de mente amplia y de gran sabiduría, cuyo nombre lleva el Municipio. El Campo Inferior del Escudo de color Azul Marino, que representa la riqueza y abundancia de agua subterránea que posee nuestro municipio. El Escudo está coronado, por una estrella de color negra simbolizando el pozo petrolero OG-1, inmortalizado por el gran escritor, poeta, periodista, ensayista, humorista, novelista, orador; Miguel Otero Silva, en su obra Oficina N° 1, encima del Escudo y la estrella se encuentra una cinta de color roja con la siguiente inscripción: “El Tigre 23 de Febrero de 1933” En la base del Escudo salen dos ramas de curatella americana (Chaparro) atadas con una cinta de color rojo que lleva la siguiente inscripción: En el centro: “Democracia” a la izquierda “Orden”, a la derecha, “ Igualdad”. Sobre la cinta que ata las ramas de la curatella americana (Chaparro), se encuentran cuatro frutos: dos (2) Mangos (Mangífera indica L.) y dos Mereyes (Anacardium occidentale L. ), producidos y cosechados en abundancia en nuestras tierras. EL HIMNO ESCRITO POR EL SR. PUBLIO GARCÍA y dice asi:
Es mi ciudad, yo se que está creciendo El día a día me lo dice así Vamos para adelante seguimos progresando Nuestro trabajo construye el porvenir II Gracias a Dios, seguimos adelante El nos ayuda en la dificultad Tenemos sueños, vamos a lograrlo Unidos todos por esta ciudad (CORO) Yo soy de El Tigre, sí de El Tigre Y orgulloso estoy de mi ciudad Yo soy de El Tigre, vivo en El Tigre Y orgulloso estoy de mi ciudad. III Yo eché mi suerte hermano aquí en El Tigre Sí, yo nací en otro lugar Pero amo tanto esta tierra hermosa Que todos mis sueños aquí voy a sembrar IV En el subsuelo de esta tierra hermosa Hay oro negro, hay riquezas por doquier Hay voluntades hay gente generosa Con mucho orgullo vamos a compartir (CORO) Yo soy de El Tigre, sí de El Tigre Y orgulloso estoy de mi ciudad Yo soy de El Tigre, vivo en El Tigre Y orgulloso estoy de mi ciudad.
