| Description |
Español: Uresarantze actualmente es un barrio que pertenece al municipio de Gorliz que desde hace varias décadas está luchando por conseguir su independencia.
Este futuro municipio cuenta con diversos recursos naturales y atractivos turísticos como la playa de Astondo, el monte ermuamendi (con su Faro y Castillito), el conflictivo pinar, etc... Su principal actividad económica es el turismo, con empresas como Camping Arrien, la Cervecera Kilimanjaro, el Restaurante Begoña y el Aquapark de Astondo. Destacar también las instalaciones sanitarias y deportivas como el Hospital Sanatorio y el Campo de Fútbol Olímpico (este campo durante muchos años tenía una superficie superior al antiguo estadio de San Mamés, pero se decidió reducir su tamaño por exigencia de los jugadores locales y su dudosa preparación en los meses posteriores al verano). Cuenta también con pistas de paddle, pistas de tenis, campo de tiro, campo de golf, skatepark, etc... Cabe reseñar que en sus terrenos se ubica una granja modelo en la cual se mejora y perfecciona la raza autóctona de Vacas Pirenaicas. Las fiestas patronales se celebran el tercer fin de semana de agosto, destacando el Concurso Internacional de Sukalki que tiene lugar en las campas de Okarantzu. El autodenominado grupo “Uresarantze Askatu” reivindica la independencia del barrio anualmente en este evento. |
