The islands ofCepeda and Langara become points on a peninsula, north of which is foundthe entrance to the Canal de Florida Blanca, while the place of the southernentrance is taken by Ensenada del Engauo. Seno de Gaston is a new name forthe bay above Point Socorro ; and Punta de Loera becomes Ensenada de Loera.The Punta and Laguna del Garzon become an ensenada of the same name.The bocas of the Florida Blanca, Carmelo, and Monifio, being explored totheir heads, become brazos; and the name of the last is changed to Mazar-redo. Poliel (an error) is changed to Purlier, and Cala de Descanso is addedto the boca de Wentuhuysen. 71 The map is No. 2 of the original atlas, and is also found on a larger scalein Reply of the United States. To the land north of the Sallda are given, on 272 EXPLORING AND COMMERCIAL EXPEDITIONS.
