English: 1898 advertisement for Bailey’s “Won’t Slip” Tire, a pneumatic tire (tyre) with molded tread by C. J. Bailey & Co. of Boston, Mass., US patent 588,724 (granted 24 August 1897). This design was later licensed by numerous larger manufacturers, including Goodyear and B.F. Goodrich.
