Notes Auckland Lawn Tennis Umpires Association Officials badge Badge belonged to Alton Clive Johns Alton Clive Johns was a keen tennis player and had been an Auckland representative. He served as president of the Auckland Lawn Tennis Association and as aq vice-president of the Auckland Lawn Tennis Umpires Association and was a life member of both organisations. Alton Clive Johns (1893-1985) JP. Served- WW1- Wellington Infantry Regiment- France, Western Europe, taken as POW. post-war- business (radio manufacturer), held many community chairs, Mayor Mt Eden. Captain 1st New Zealand Hockey Team, Auckland Tennis Representative Orders- QSO (Companion).
