Summary[edit]

Description
English: Shows the geometry behind the Barycentric Julian Date calculation. The green circle is the Earth's orbit. The (+) is the Earth. The yellow lines are the plane waves coming from an object infinitely far away. The black lines go from the Target to the Earth, the Earth to the Solar System Barycenter (SSB) and the SSB to the target. The blue line shows the extra distance the light has to travel to get to the barycenter (or the extra distance the light traveled to get to the Earth).
