Awning-midshipmans-rolling-knot-functions-and-differences: 3 similar tools to make in ropeParts. Each has a different utility, pick the right one to task.

Summary[edit]

Description
English: Awning-midshipmans-rolling-knot-functions-and-differences: 3 similar tools to make from 'ropeParts'. Each has a different utility, pick the right one to task. Awning Holds strong but can even kick free or pull tail, yet is not a regular slip knot with a folded tail as release bight . Will hold strong as add a Half Hitch to make a Midshipman's sliding Friction Hitch even under medium load, but not under heavier load. Adjust the seizing part of Awning as found in Midshipman's to make Rolling that will slide to adjust under load much better. Some twisting releived by reversing last Half Hitch to counter-torque the spin as in other straight bar Cow like finishes (as opposed to continuous direction Zbar Clove type finishes etc.) and called Magnus. May call Rolling a Taut Line if on the moving load part of equation, rather than non-moving anchor/stake as Rolling . But names vary, especially by region and then faded over time.
