Description
English: Sale catalogue of contents auction at Amport St Mary's, Mabbett & Edge, July 1919. A report in The Connoisseur (September-December 1919) notes "Messrs. Mabbett & Edge (of Grosvenor Square) realised very satisfactory sums at the dispersal of the Winchester heirlooms at Amport St. Mary's, which extended over a week. An inlaid Queen Anne commode brought in 280 gns., and a Louis XIV. kneehole table 260 gns."
