Aubin's apparatus for the determination of total nitrogen content

Summary[edit]

Description
Titolando l'acido rimanente è possibile quantificare l'ammoniaca prodotta.
English: A round-bottom flask with the solid to be analyzed A is digested with sodium hydroxide and connected to a wide glass spiral B and a vertical condenser C. The system is cooled through the network R, H, E, F and G. By collecting the ammoniacal distillate in a beaker D with a known excess of acid, it is possible to determine the nitrogen content as ammoniacal nitrogen.
