Text Appearing Before Image:
iades, or loose the bands of Orion? A marginaltranslation is suggested that would make it read,Canst thou bind the chain of the Pleiades? Reading the scripture as thus given in the AmericanRevised Version, one sees that it assumes the knowl-edge that the Pleiades and Orion are each a group, afamily of stars, bound together. The Pleiades is acluster. It is bound together as with an invisible band.Likewise the power that holds the great constellationof Orion into a great family of united stars is spokenof as its bands. At once the mind of the student of the Word restsin the assurance that science will find something hereto verify this scripture. He is so certain of the in-fallibility of the Bible, that he does not question fora moment the truth of this language, but looks withconfidence to science for its verification. If science hasnot advanced far enough to do this work, he waitsfor the facts to be developed that will elucidate andconfirm the Word, though they may not come in histime.
