| Description |
English: Ashton. The A49 which is usually the preferred route between South Wales and North Wales/Northwest England still runs through this village with disastrous consequences. Here damage to buildings following a fatal crash and fire is being repaired. A bypass has been planned for at least 40 years, but is always the first to be cancelled when public expenditure cuts are required. Meanwhile this road remains lethal. |
