English: Ashley: the Alderholt turn at Bakers Hanging The drivers of two blue cars travel from Ringwood, the one on the left towards Verwood while the one on the right has just turned off for Alderholt.
I well remember the time before the right-hand corner of the junction was brought inward, sharpening the turning. The right-hand verge used to carry a dead straight course from one side of the junction to the other, creating a far more striking impression of acuteness than exists now. The work was done 15 or so years ago, no doubt on safety grounds. |
