English: Ash Tree Court and Prospect Ring. Looking towards Prospect Ring from Kitchener Road. The modern housing of Ash Tree Court sits on the site of The George Inn. One of Prospect Ring's 1960's tower blocks looms in the background. There used to be a large hog market on this site from which West End butchers used to buy their pigs. The road on the left is called Market Place in recollection of this. |
