Summary
[edit]DescriptionAsh Spring Wood, Drax - geograph.org.uk - 584449.jpg |
English: Ash Spring Wood, Drax Perhaps not a very representative image of this gridsquare on the map, much of which is taken up by a huge heap of coal waiting to be fed into Drax Power Station, the largest coal-fired power station in the UK. The picture was taken from the permissive footpath which runs around the perimeter fence of the power station, through Ash Spring Wood and along part of the disused Hull and Barnsley Railway, a short stretch of which was reopened in the 1970s to supply the power station with coal. |
