que la sondede Gairal peut pénétrer beaucoup plus profondément. Triquet a pensé, non sans raison, que le chirurgien doit disposer desondes de dimensions et de courbures différentes, car le diamètre et ladirection de la trompe ne sont pas identiques chez tous les sujets. De plus,létroitesse des fosses nasales commande quelquefois de diminuer la courburede la sonde. Il a donc établi six cathéters de courbures et de dimensionsdiverses. Les numéros 1 à 6 de la figure 1039 représentent celte série; lenuméro 7 ligure le porte-caustique de Triquet. Bonnafonl a préconisé une sonde à courbure de 31 degrés ; cette cour-bure nous semble exagérée. Deleau rejette, en général du moins, les sondes métalliques et leur sub-stitue des sondes élastiques longues de cinq pouces environ et présentant (1) Itard, Traité des maladies de loreille et de laudition.
