Description
English: Arriva London South Routemaster bus RM1312 (reg. MFF 509), operating London Buses route 159 on the last day of non-heritage Routemaster operation in London. It's pictured here on Westminster Bridge heading east, en route to Streatham Station. Another of London's icons, Big Ben, stands in the mist behind the bus. RM1312 was delivered to London Transport in December 1962, registered 312 CLT. In 1994 it was withdrawn, re-registered MFF 509, and sold. After a period in preservation, it was one of many buses bought back by London Buses in 2000 and refurbished, for further use. After withdrawal from the 159, in September 2006 it was presented to Haags Bus Museum, in Den Haag, Netherlands.
