Westphal how dangerous munitions are safely removed from the Chilean - Peruvian border during humanitarian demining operations during a recent visit to Quebrada de Escritos, Chile, June 11, 2012. Dr. Westphal participated in the 12th U.S. - Chile Defense Consultative Commission and visited with select Chilean Army units to expand partnership capacity. The U.S. - Chilean defense partnership is focused on a range of initiatives, from disaster response to conducting joint exercises and training. |
