Description
English: 1st Lt. Abbas (second from left) of the Iraqi air force, Tech. Sgt. Andrea Walton (left), a non-destructive inspection air advisor for the Coalition Air Force Training Team, 721st Air Expeditionary Advisor Squadron, and Sgt. Kenneth Williams (second from right), the power train squad leader for Company B, 615th Aviation Support Battalion, 1st Air Cavalry Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, Multi-National Division—Baghdad, observe as Pvt. Gazwan (right), a helicopter inspector from the Iraqi AF, slowly moves the sensor to a devise that enables him to see fractures in certain metal aircraft components during a non-destructive inspection of a CH-47F Chinook swash plate. This highly technical procedure is taught by Walton with the help of Williams and his power train team. Walton wants the Iraqi AF to become proficient in NDI's so that they can perform them on their aircraft independently.
