Summary[edit]

Description
English: A digital representation of the coat of arms of McCall of Daldowie. This illustration was created for Clans of Scotland project of English-speaking Wikipedia. The blazon used was: "Gu. two arrows in saltire ar. surmounted by a fess chequy of the second and sa. betw. three buckles also of the second, all within a bordure engr. or". The source of the blazon was page 636 of The General Armory of England, Scotland, Ireland, and Wales, by Bernard Burke, published by Harrison & sons in 1864. The arrows are illustrated with their heads pointing upward, per an illustration in the book Memoirs of my ancestors, a collection of genealogical memoranda, by Hardy Bertram McCall, published in 1884. This coat of arms dates from 1863 when it was granted to James McCall of Daldowie.
